Historical Minutes Archive

The Bernalillo County Clerk’s office is responsible for maintaining a digital archive of the minutes of all County Boards and Commissions meetings and hearings. All such minutes dating back to 1888 have been digitized in a searchable format and are available for public use. Such uses may include academic research on any event, election, or decision that came before the county commission or a board thereof.

Historical Ordinances Archive

The Bernalillo County Clerk’s office is responsible for maintaining a digital archive of the full text of original Ordinances as they were presented to the Board of County Commissioners at the time of their adoption.

The Historical Ordinance Archive dates back to 1961 and is a historical record of ordinances passed for a multitude of purposes from meat inspection (1961), establishment of a 40 hour work week (1963) to adopting a code of campaign standards for candidates for county office (1974).

This archive is presented for historical purposes only. Please refer to the Bernalillo County Code for current law.

Historical Resolutions Archive

The Bernalillo County Clerk’s office is responsible for maintaining a digital archive of the full text of all resolutions enacted by the Board of County Commissioners. Today we consider a resolution to be a formal expression of opinion or intention. However in earlier years Resolutions included allocation of monies and establishment of rules and policy.

The Historical Resolutions Archive dates back to 1955 and provides access to the full text of each Resolution at the time it was enacted.

  • On Election Day, Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, there will be 10 voting convenience centers open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be no same day voter registration nor voter registration updates on Election Day. The Runoff Election for City Council Districts 2 and 4 is required under the Top-Two Runoff Election rule which requires candidates for Albuquerque City Council to receive fifty percent or more of the votes cast for the office in question. If no candidate receives 50% of the votes, the two candidates who receive the highest number of votes automatically become the candidates for the runoff election.
