In-Person Absentee Voting Underway

Clerk Linda Stover announces the start of in-person absentee voting at the Clerk’s Annex on 15th and Lomas NW.

“Internally we call it “in-person absentee voting” but for the public it’s the same as early voting but starts 2-weeks earlier,” said Clerk Linda Stover. “We will be observing social distancing requirements, wiping down surfaces frequently and staff will wear PPE. The public must also follow the social distancing guidelines and we’re requesting that voters wear a face covering.”

The Clerk’s Annex is located at 1500 Lomas NW in Albuquerque and will be open for in-person absentee voting Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 5 through Friday, May 15, 2020.

The Clerk’s Annex is the designated location for same day voter registration for the primary. Citizens may register on-site before voting. Voter registrations may be updated as well, however, voters may not update their political party affiliation or a select a party after May 5, 2020.

Voters who have not already requested an absentee ballot online are encouraged to complete the absentee ballot application that has been mailed to their home and return it using the postage paid envelope. Read more...
