The Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office will Participate in Albuquerque’s Naturalization Ceremony Tomorrow

    03/16/2017

The Bernalillo County Clerk's Office is proud to participate in the bi-monthly Naturalization Ceremonies for new American citizens hosted by the United States District Court for New Mexico.

Bernalillo County Clerk Linda Stover says, “We want to congratulate these individuals on the beginning of a new life as a United States Citizen, in the State of New Mexico. We welcome them to the County of Bernalillo and are glad to have them as future neighbors, friends, co-workers, and hopefully electoral participants. The Clerk’s office will be able to give them the opportunity to participate in free and transparent elections.”

The next ceremony will be held tomorrow March 17, 2017 at the Albuquerque Convention Center East Complex beginning at 10:00 a.m. The U.S. District Court regularly hosts the ceremonies where "new citizens finalize their journey and take the Oath of Citizenship to their new home and country." At the invitation of the Federal Court, the Bernalillo County Clerk's Bureau of Elections has participated for 15 years as the official Voter Registration agency at these ceremonies.

The public is always invited to attend Naturalization Ceremonies. More information is available from the U.S. District Court at http://www.nmd.uscourts.gov/naturalizations.To find out more about the Third-Party Voter Registration Agent Program, visit the Clerk's website or give us a call at (505) 468-1291, option 6.
