Clerk Linda Stover Thanks Poll Workers and Encourages Patience and Gratitude at Voting Convenience Center

Clerk Linda Stover recorded a video today to thank poll workers and encourage patience and gratitude during in-person voting.

“The best way to vote during the COVID-19 pandemic is by absentee ballot and we hope you apply for one. But there are people for whom it’s just not an election until you go to the polls. If that’s you, we’re ready for you,” said Clerk Linda Stover. “The people who are making in-person voting possible deserve our gratitude and respect. Thank you poll workers. And to in-person voters, please wear a mask, be patient and say thank you to the workers standing up for your right to vote in person.”

The Clerk’s Annex is located at 1500 Lomas NW in Albuquerque and is open for in-person absentee voting Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 5 through Friday, May 15, 2020.

The Clerk’s Annex is the designated location for same day voter registration for the primary. Citizens may register to vote on-site before voting. Voter registrations may be updated as well, however, voters may not update their political party affiliation or a select a party after May 5, 2020.

Voters who have not already requested an absentee ballot online are encouraged to complete the absentee ballot application that has been mailed to their home and return it using the postage paid envelope. Read more…
