Summer Program Registration

We offer the following Programs:

Youth Programs

  • Before School
    The before school program is on a first-come first-served basis and runs Monday - Friday.
  • Parky’s Pals
    Parky's Pals is a recreational program designed for four and five year old minds and bodies. Activities may include arts & crafts, computers, physical recreation, field trips, and fun-based academics. Parky's Pals runs Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. Free and reduced fees are available upon qualification; cost is $36 a month or $212 a year, payable in advance. In addition, there is a $15 registration fee for all programs. Note: updated shot records are required before children can be registered for the program.
  • After School
    Servicing Mountain View and Adobe Acres Elementary Schools, El Camino Real Academy, and Harrison Middle School, the after school program is on a first-come first-served basis and runs Monday - Friday.
  • Summer Recreation 
    The 2016 summer program runs from June 13 - July 29, 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. It is for youth aged 5 - 14 years. Registration begins Feb. 1, 2016; free and reduced fee applications are being accepted through March 31.

Teen Programs

  • Boxing - open gym for amateur boxers. Includes training ring, medicine balls, ropes, gloves, and bags. Limited coaching is available. Tuesday - Thursday, 5 - 7 p.m., FREE.
  • Open Recreation - air hockey, PlayStation and XBox games, computers, movie nights, field trips and open gym. Thursdays, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. For more information, call the county's Sports Division at (505) 314-0415.
  • Ceramics - This is a beginning-level ceramics program for youth 8 - 14 years. Three to five items a month will be created, depending on size and completion. Wednesdays, 3 - 4:30 p.m. $15 for four weeks. 
  • High Spirit Dance - Tuesdays, 6 - 7:45 p.m. Call Peggy Salazar at (505) 831-3868 for information.
  • 4-H Club - Second Thursdays of the month, 6 - 8 p.m. Contact Kim Buckle at aces@nmsu.edu for more information.

Adult Programs

  • Ceramics - Basic ceramics class offered for seniors and adults; an opportunity for recreation and socialization. Thursdays, 9 a.m. - noon. Call Barbara at (505) 314-0266 for more information.
  • Adult Ceramics - This is a beginning ceramics program. Three to five items a month will be created, depending on size and completion. Tuesdays, 6 - 8 p.m. $15 for four weeks.
  • Fitness Room - Want to get in shape? Come and check out our fitness room. Open to the public 18 years and older; those aged 12 - 17 years must be accompanied by an adult. Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. FREE.
  • Open Gym - Please contact center for availability. Shoot some hoops or spend some free time playing in the gym, walking or running, or doing gymnastics.
