Mountain View Community Center and Bernalillo County Parks and Recreation are responsible for creating and providing recreation, leisure and community services necessary to promote public well-being and quality of life for youth and adults.

The goal of Mountain View Community Center is to provide the means by which our community members can participate in self-enhancing activities and make positive changes in their lives.

  • This nationally recognized program covers the basics needed to plan and design your home garden landscape, focusing on sustainability, permaculture, and wise use of our limited natural resources. Each workshop builds on information shared from previous classes and offers tools to assess your home landscape. Participants who attend all five session will receive a certificate and have a chance to win a free rain barrel and other giveaways. This session's topic: "Sustainability in the Home Garden and Role of Soil". The series begins Feb. 13 and runs through May 14. Please click on the link below for a downloadable, printable flier.
