Newest Behavioral Health Initiative Program Aims to Prevent Youth Homelessness

On May 10 BernCo announced the Behavioral Health Initiative’s [BHI] latest program- Youth Transitional Living Services [YTLS]. Bernalillo County presented New Day, YDI, Casa Q, and Serenity Mesa with a ‘big check’ for $800,000 to incorporate the program into their operations.

After Five Years, County Employees Receive 3 Percent Cost of Living Increase

After a five-year span with no salary increases, Bernalillo County is now able to offer pay increases to its non-union employees. County Manager Julie Morgas Baca has announced that all non-union county employees will receive a 3 percent cost of living allowance and a one-time payout of $1,000.
