Applicants Submit Resumes to Fill Senate District 16 Seat

Nineteen Bernalillo County residents have submitted their names to be considered for filling the vacant New Mexico Senate District 16 seat, located in Bernalillo County.

The seat became open when Cisco McSorley resigned on Jan. 8 to serve in Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s administration.

Here are the applicants who applied to fill the vacancy:

A special meeting of the Bernalillo County Board of County Commissioners to name Sorley’s successor to the senate will be held Monday, Jan. 14, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the Vincent Griego chambers of the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Government Center building, One Civic Plaza NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102.

The New Mexico Legislature begins a 60-day session on Jan. 15.

Monday’s special County Commission meeting will be streamed live at Bernco.gov.
