BernCo Extends Closure and Tele-work to April 30 - County Offices Closed Friday for Spring Holiday

At the direction of Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, Bernalillo County is extending its coronavirus COVID 19 building closures and employee tele-commuting policy to April 30. And, in an effort to maintain normalcy within the employee and county community, all county offices will be closed on Friday, April 10 in observance of the spring holiday, as originally scheduled.

Law enforcement, firefighters and rescue personnel, 911 dispatch, and the Metropolitan Detention Center (no in-person visitation) will continue to work as normal.

For residents participating in the county breakfast/lunch program, Friday’s meals will be available for pick-up during the normal Thursday times. The Easter Bunny will be at Paradise Hills and Vista Grande community centers on Thursday for the grab-and-go lunch.

Bernalillo County Manager Julie Morgas Baca is asking all residents to adhere to Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s directives and be aware of their surroundings and others near them.
