BernCo County Commission Accepts Live-Zoom Public Comments

02/05/2021

The Bernalillo County Commission is now accepting live public comments during commission meetings through the Zoom video conferencing platform.

Participants who wish to sign up for public comment must do so by 3 p.m. the day of the meeting at bernco.gov/boards-commissions/speak-at-a-meeting.aspx. The application requires the Zoom username or phone number the participant will use to enter the Zoom meeting. Comments will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

Public comments are limited to 90 seconds and may only be addressed to the County Commission. Disruptive conduct will result in removal from the Zoom meeting.

Access details for the Zoom meeting will be provided on the final meeting agenda. At the meeting, participants will be able to watch on Zoom while waiting for public comment. When called, participants will be able to unmute their microphone and turn on their camera, which will be turned off once their time is finished.

Non-participants may still view the meeting through bernco.gov/live, YouTube and GOVTV.

    • Please join District 3 Commissioner Adriann Barboa for Sunset Chisme with Adriann on Thursday, April 15 at 5:30 p.m. For this Sunset Chisme, Commissioner Barboa will be celebrating our beautiful planet! Earth Day is April 22. All month long, activities are being organized to honor and protect our Earth. We will be joined by local Environmental Justice leaders, water conservation experts, and also get the scoop on the Kirtland Air Force Base jet fuel cleanup and how to engage in their upcoming virtual Open House. Click the attached Zoom link to RSVP to this virtual event. Since we still need to protect our elders and keep our families safe from COVID-19, Sunset Chisme's will continue to be virtual on Zoom. As soon as we can share space safely with each other, Commissioner Barboa will start hosting these get-togethers at different community centers and parks around our neighborhoods.
