The University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) receives approximately $90 million annually from Bernalillo County property taxes that are subject to voter renewal of a mill levy every eight years. 

The New Mexico Hospital Funding Act (N.M. STAT. ANN. 4-48B-1 et. seq.) is the statutory basis for Bernalillo County to assess a mill levy to support UNMH.

UNMH combines this funding with their other revenue streams for its operations and maintenance.

The UNMH mill levy will appear on the Nov. 8, 2016 ballot. The attached documents are the lease and subsequent amendments between Bernalillo County and UNMH that have been in place since 1999.
