Carpenters Local Union 1319 Honored for Work on Tiny Home Village

More than 110 members of the union volunteered more than 1,400 hours over six weekends to complete the construction of 30 tiny homes located adjacent to the Albuquerque Indian Center, 105 Texas St. SE.

Bernalillo County Invests $6.5 Million in Regional Public Infrastructure Improvement Project

Bernalillo County announced today a $6.5 million investment in a regional public infrastructure improvement project that will spur economic development in the emerging Upper Petroglyphs Industrial Park located near the intersection of I-40 and Atrisco Vista Blvd NW in the county’s southwest mesa. Bernalillo County Manager Julie Morgas Baca made the announcement.

BernCo Opens 24-Hour Crisis Center for Behavioral Health Services

Bernalillo County has opened its first 24-hour crisis triage and treatment center to provide behavioral health services for those who might otherwise end up in a hospital’s emergency department, jail, or be sent back into the community still struggling with severe behavioral and mental health issues.

County Commission Approves Paid Time Off Ordinance

On Aug. 20 the BernCo Commission approved a paid time off ordinance that will mandate business owners in the unincorporated areas of the county, with two or more employees, to provide paid leave.
