Bernalillo County Board of Commissioners Proclaims September 2019 as National Preparedness Month

The Bernalillo County Board of Commissioners hereby proclaims September 2019 as National Preparedness Month in Bernalillo County, and encourages all residents to set aside supplies for disaster and plan for emergencies with family to protect their lives and livelihoods.

Air Force Research Lab Tech Engagement Office Announces First-of-Its-Kind Program to Work with Local Business Community

The Air Force Research Lab’s Tech Engagement Office today announced the launch of the Enterprize Challenge, a new program designed to connect local businesses with the Air Force to develop creative and viable solutions to some of the Air Force’s current needs here in New Mexico. Top solutions will share in $30,000 in prize money and will receive additional business assistance that could lead to a contract.

Commissioner Talbert Hosts Gun Safety Meeting

On Jan. 31 County Commissioner Lonnie Talbert co-hosted a by-invitation-only gathering of representatives from public safety, behavioral health, education, gun owners, gun rights advocates and victims of gun violence to continue a community gun safety dialogue that began last December.
