Local Business to Expand Using Industrial Revenue Bonds

02/13/2018

The Bernalillo County Commission has approved $7 million in industrial revenue bonds (IRB) for New Mexico owned and operated Vitality Works.

Vitality Works plans to expand its manufacturing plant, administrative facilities and laboratories located at 8500 Bluewater Rd., NW.

“This expansion is to accommodate growth of existing and potential new market opportunities,” says County Commissioner Debbie O’Malley. “Vitality Works will soon be able to better serve its current customers and take on new customers.”

In 2011, Vitality Works was issued an IRB for $7 million for a term of 23 years for real, personal and gross receipts tax breaks. The 2017 IRB is privately funded and will give Vitality Works more tax breaks for an additional 23 years.

Vitality Works manufactures and distributes organic dietary supplements, in capsule and liquid form, and is a registered, over the counter drug manufacturer with the federal government.
