Two County Companies Get LEDA Money for Expansion

Two Bernalillo County businesses have been given approval for Local Economic Development Agreement grants totaling more than $900,000.

Indica Labs, Inc. has been granted $605,000 to support a building purchase and construction activities. Indica Labs provides software that aids image analysis for digital pathology.

Kevothermal will receive a $305,000 grant for relocation to a larger facility. Kevothermal is an international manufacturer of vacuum insulation panels.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to retain two local companies and help them with monies for expansion and growth,” says County Commission Chair Steven Michael Quezada. “Along with that expansion comes the promise of added jobs to help the county’s economy grow as well.”

Bernalillo County will act as the fiscal agent on behalf of the State of New Mexico.

Both grants were unanimously approved by the Commission.
