Wagner Equipment Breaks Ground on New Headquarters

Wagner Equipment Company, a family-owned New Mexico business, broke ground on its new headquarters on May 24 in Bernalillo County’s South Valley.

The state-of-the art sales, service and repair facility will serve the New Mexico, Colorado and far west Texas areas at the sole authorized Cat equipment supplier.

When completed, Wagner’s new facility will have a 200-thousand square foot building on a 58-acre lot in the southwest corner of Rio Bravo and Interstate 25.

“Bernalillo County believes in all that Wagner Equipment has to offer through its business model and work force, says Bernalillo County Commission Chair Steven Michael Quezada. “And I’m especially glad Wagner chose the south valley as its new home.”

The new Wagner facility is slated to open in late 2019 or early 2020 and will employ an additional 100 people when it opens.

The Wagner expansion was made possible through industrial revenue bonds issued through Bernalillo County, but does not utilize any taxpayer dollars.

Video and still pictures of the event are available from Bernalillo County.
