    More Information: Marcos A. Gonzales serves as the Assistant Director for the Bernalillo County Economic Development Department. As a senior member of this team, he has co-developed a carefully crafted, multi-pronged strategy to assist area businesses which have resulted in the creation of more than 4,800 jobs and nearly a billion dollars of private investment. In this role, Marcos’ responsibilities include managing a team focused on small business development, motion picture permitting, increasing the economic vitality of the South Valley Main Street, and special events resulting in economic development activity. Further, Marcos is actively involved with assisting existing businesses and those looking to develop businesses within the county through innovative application of monies made available through property tax exemption, tax increment financing, cash grants, and tax credits. Marcos uses these strategies in combination with best practice business initiatives.
