    The mission of Bernalillo County Economic Development Department is to attract, retain and grow business activity and jobs for Bernalillo County through providing economic development services to county business owners. Maintaining a viable business community contributes to enhancing the quality of life for all Bernalillo County residents and makes best use of taxpayer dollars.

    • Guide businesses, operating in every type of business and industry, to the appropriate public/private assistance
    • Provide quantitative incentive analysis of local and state incentives
    • Provide economic development tools such as Industrial Revenue Bonds, Project Revenue Bonds, and Tax Increment Development Districts
    • Provide small business assistance
    • International trade program
    • Assist businesses in accessing county services and departments
    • Issue film production permits and site development
    • Support the ongoing growth of Bernalillo County through community based recognition

    The Matrix is used during the Build Foundation and Developing Framework phases of the performance reporting process. While developing the Matrix the mission, services, projects, and performance measures are reviewed, updated, and/or established for the upcoming cycle. The Meeting Agenda and Industry Research are used during the Analyze & Review phase of the performance reporting process. The Meeting Agenda tracks questions and follow up items addressed during the DCM Performance Meetings, while the Industry Research is reviewed for industry trends and benchmarking opportunities.
