The Fixed Assets Sections ensures that departments are properly recording, tracking and disposing of fixed assets surplus property in accordance with county administrative instructions and state statutes.

Bernalillo County’s Fixed Assets section is part of the Accounting Department headed by director Pamela A. Moon. Martin Gallegos, BSBM, is the manager of the Fixed Assets section.

The Fixed Assets section also:

  • Provides training to all county departments’ fixed assets liaisons for property accountability;
  • Tracks and records all capital project acquisitions;
  • Conducts the annual physical inventory of all county assets;
  • Coordinates and manages all internal metal recycling programs;
  • Coordinates the disposal of all county-owned surplus items;
  • Maintains the New Mexico Association of Counties list for county-owned vehicles;
  • Administers and maintains the county’s online internal reallocation program; and
  • Conducts the county’s online surplus property sales at www.govdeals.com/bernalillocounty, an auction site created with capabilities geared specifically for public agencies and is open to the public for online bidding.
