Bernalillo County Accounting & Budget Department Director Pamela Moon has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the New Mexico Retiree Health Care Authority.

Ms. Moon, a Certified Public Accountant, represents New Mexico Counties, the association of New Mexico’s 33 county governments, on the board. Bernalillo County has kept its triple A bond rating with the three major rating companies in the country, Moody’s, Fitch and Standard and Poor’s.

Bernalillo County’s Accounting and Budget Office has been awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award, the highest award in governmental budgeting.

On April 10, 2018, the Bernalillo County Commission honored Larry Munoz and Nicholas Davis for their immediate response and onsite technical support to the City of Farmington on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, when the city was severely impacted by a ransomware attack causing widespread computer encryption and massive operational disruption.
