Action Steps

  1. Track progress of project by completion of departments/sections utilizing the following steps for each (100%)
    1. Socialize and communicate plan with impacted departments
    2. Acquire commitment for resources 
    3. Train resources
    4. Conduct inventory for each department
    5. Prepare plan for disposition of records/prepare records indexes for each department (scan, store, destroy, retain as essential records)
  2. Each departments/sections project percentage is totaled and then averaged to provide countywide status ​​​

Why is this measure important?

It is important that the volume of records being stored at the various locations of the county be inventoried and actions be taken to reduce their current footprint and to identify the essential records to be moved to Alvarado Square. The spaces available for continued operations and records storage will significantly be reduced at the Alvarado Square location, compared to the spaces currently being occupied.
