  1. Meet with vendor and define scope and develop project plan 
  2. Inform taxpayers, through media outlets and community events, of the ability to receive communication via email and gather email addresses
  3. Implement new process within the department to utilize email information to automate tax billing

Why is this measure important?

To continue modern widely accepted technology to communicate with taxpayers. Additionally, electronic notifications are a more efficient use of tax dollars. Lastly, we want to increase property tax payments, reduce delinquent notices and properties reported to the state for collections.

Additional Information

The e-billing project for the Treasurer’s Office has been rolled into the much larger Merchant Services Request For Proposal (RFP).  The RFP evaluation is still in the beginning stages.
