Why is this measure important?

This measures the number of new employees that have been effectively on-boarded into the county government environment.

Where does the data come from?

Empath/Learning Management System; Run Report

How is the measure calculated?

A report is generated on a quarterly basis that reflects the new employees who were registered for the New Hire Orientation class for that quarter and an attendance roster of who did or did not attend the class.

Additional Information

The target rate is dependent on the management team within each division requiring their new employees to attend the training within the timeframe required by county policy/directive.  Attendance rates are not within the command or power of the Training Section, but reliant on the management structure of each division to influence and direct their staff to attend the orientation.  The trend analysis will reflect compliance of attendance by each county division over the span of each calendar quarter.  

Q4 results reflects more employees attended the training than were originally registered.
