Bernalillo County’s Procurement & Business Services Department continuously strives to deliver the highest level of customer service to our fellow departments and to our vendors, while ensuring the county’s purchases are in alignment with state statutes; that stocking levels are kept accurate and able to satisfy the needs of county departments; that signage for traffic, facilities and construction are precise; that professional graphics and printing services and products are provided in a timely manner; and that solicitations are transparent, fair and competitive, providing the utmost value to maximize public funds.

Our responsibilities include:

  • Procuring tangible personal property, services and construction for all county departments; including management of all procurements utilizing local, state and federal appropriations;
  • Managing the Unclaimed/Indigent Cremation Program for deceased persons who have passed away within the county’s boundaries;
  • Managing inventory warehouses for the Metropolitan Detention Center, the county Fire Department, the Youth Services Center and the Public Works Division;
  • Designing and manufacturing of traffic, facilities and construction signs for county roadways, operations, projects, and facilities.
  • Maintaining materials needed for graphic design and manufacture of county-branded road, construction, project and facility signs; as well as banners, stationery, business cards, fliers, newsletters, brochures, postcards and other printing projects.
