The scope of the Paradise Hills Trail Improvements Project is along Paradise Boulevard, NW from Golf Course Road, NW west to La Paz Drive, NW. It consists of improvements to existing sections of trail and the construction of new sections of trail.
The improved and extended trail will interconnect existing trails and sidewalks along both Golf Course Road, NW and Paradise Boulevard, NW.

The design effort for this project began in early 2013. Construction started on Dec. 1, 2014 and is was completed in April, 2015.
This project is 85.44% federally funded and 14.56% county funded. The Paradise Hills Trail cooperative project agreement with the NMDOT provides $700,000 in federal funding for design, right-of-way acquisition and construction. The county’s funding match is $119,287.60 from county trail bond funds.
